Wooden Camera is now offering a custom cable service with their Power Cable Customizer where you can specify the type of connectors used and the specific cable length allowing you to get the perfect cable for your set up without having to coil excess cable around the camera and minimise the amount of cable management required.
Wooden Camera has been offering a custom cable service for a while but had only been via email. The new interface allows for fast and easy ordering and gives you the price up front.
You can choose from a large variety of input and output options including Lemo, Fischer, DC Barrel, D-Tap, XLR & dummy batteries. Wooden Camera states that the LEMO connectors are not manufactured by LEMO but are made to the same specification and are LEMO compatible.
Once you have selected the input and output types, you can select the length as short as 1″ to as long as 120″ for standard cable and 1″ to 72″ for braided flex cable. The length is measured from boot to boot and does not include the connector itself.
There is also a field where you provide the cable application so Wooden Camera can confirm the cable functionality. If you aren’t too technical, you can always ask for assistance via email.
