MotoCrane has announced the ULTRA, claiming it to be the most versatile remote arm in the world, with the ability to mount the ULTRA onto pretty much any type of vehicle including cars, trucks, UTV’s, boats and custom rigs.
The ULTRA offers a full 12′ of reach, capable of supporting maximum payloads of up to 55lbs/25kg. The 12′ reach is longer than its competitors, giving operators the ability to get closer to the action. The large maximum payload means it can also support even some of the largest gimbal systems on the market like the Freefly MoVI XL, Shotover G! and the Flight Head Mini 3.
There is also no need to add another vibration isolator as the arm features active gyro stabilization and adjustable passive 3-axis nose dampening to isolate the head and camera package for buttery-smooth, rock-solid image stabilization
To mount onto a vehicle, the ULTRA mounts onto TÜV-Certified 2″ Speed Rail clamps. MotoCrane will also sell a Suction Speed Rail Kit, which will create a temporary speed rail grid anywhere you need it.
Weighing just 160lbs unloaded, it is the only 12’ arm capable of flying as checked baggage.
To control the ULTRA, a new MotoCrane Controller has been designed featuring dual-stick operation for independent control of the Swing and Lift axes. A 7″ touchscreen display provides real-time position feedback, limits, and system diagnostics.
CAN-BUS Expansion ports also make it possible for future integrations with Alpha wheels, PLC, etc.
