Rode has announced an Ambisonic mic. The Soundfield NT-SF1 will allow users to capture multitrack A-format recordings.
Features
Featuring four of RØDE’s all-new, ultra-quiet ½-inch TF45C capsules in tetrahedral array, the NT-SF1 produces “natural, transparent four channel A-format recordings” which can be transformed and manipulated in B-Format, courtesy of the soon-to-be-released SoundField by RØDE plugin.
Pricing and availability
Rode has said the NT-SF1 will be released “soon” in 2018
We don’t have an exact price yet, but Rode has said that the NT-SF1 will be selling for under $1000.
