At the BVE Show, Hawk-Woods was showing the Mini V-Lok batteries which offer the same amount of power as regular batteries in a much smaller size.
Hawk-Woods have adaptor plates to use the Mini V-Lok batteries with various monitors like those from TV-Logic, SmallHD & even one for Atomos recorders which has a mechanical adaptor to convert the L-type Sony batteries to use the Mini V-Lok batteries. This looks to be very advantageous for Atomos products which are generally power hungry.
For traveling operators, to battle flight restrictions, Hawk-Woods has a double battery plate which provides hot-swappable power in a standard V-lock battery size for use with two Mini V-Lok batteries.
The 150w retails for £365 & the 100W at £245. The 50W will be released in the next two weeks and be available for £175.
Stay tuned for our full review of the Hawk-Woods Mini V-Lok batteries in the next few days.
