Phil Holland has collaborated with Matthew Duclos of Duclos Lenses to create the rodClaw.
The rodClaw is an accessory that attaches to the operator side of a DSMC2 camera body via the two M3 receivers found underneath the media to provide a rod clamp without the need of adding a base plate which ultimately adds weight and mass.
A single 19mm or15mm LWS rod (with the included adaptor) can be mounted into the rodClaw to mount accessories like a lens motor, follow focus, microphone or EVF clamp. This is great if you want to stay light or mounting the camera onto a drone, gimbal or even handheld.
Using the rodClaw on a gimbal setup would allow you to keep your setup intact as the rod supports are usually found on the gimbal plate.
