Atomos have released 8.42 firmwarefor their Shogun Inferno. The firmware fixes a few problems with the 6G SDI output as well as corrects a few bugs.
If you were using a 6G SDI compatible camera, you would of noticed that there was no embedded audio or record start/stop functionality with the Shogun Inferno. I noticed this when using both the Arri Amira and when I was recently reviewing the Panasonic EVA1. Atomos have fixed these problems by adding complete SMPTE 6G compatibility for audio Embedding, timecode and start stop trigger enabling full compatibility with Panasonic EVA1, ARRI Alexa Mini, as well as other 6G cameras and switchers.
Atomos have also fixed an issue where the HDR slider value was not saved when using Auto HDR mode. There is also 20% improvement to system start up time.
