“The Departure” is the first footage released online from the Sony VENICE. It was shot by Ed Wild BSC who was the cinematographer on the movies London Has Fallen and Welcome To The Punch.
Ed chose to shoot the VENICE short film “The Departure” in a lot of mixed lighting conditions. Ed used old anamorphic Crystal SuperSpeeds to get a more vintage look.
Ed also talks about his experience of being one of the the first to use the Sony VENICE. Ed said he wanted to push the camera to see just how well it performed.
Sony have also released a video showing how easy it is remove the sensor block from CineAlta VENICE. The whole process only takes a few minutes.
