Sigma have announced pricing for the latest additions to their full frame high speed prime lens lineup. The new 14mm T2 FF and 135mm T2 FF will both have a UK retail price of £4,749 including VAT. This price in $US has not yet been announced, but it will be significantly lower than that of the UK price. In the UK the 20, 24, 35, 50 and 85mm prime lenses retail for £3,299 which is almost £600 more than what the same lenses cost in the US.
Both lenses will be available in Canon EF, Sony E and PL mount and delivery will begin at the end of July in the UK. Strangely the 14mm T2 FF and 135mm T2 FF won’t start shipping in the US until September.
The retail prices of the full range of Sigma Cine Lenses is as follows:
18-35mm T2 $3,999 US
50-100mm T2 $3,999 US
24-35mm T2.2 FF $4,999 US
20mm T1.5 FF $3,499 US
24mm T1.5 FF $3,499 US
35mm T1.5 FF $3,499 US
50mm T1.5 FF $3,499 US
85mm T1.5 FF $3,499 US
If you are in the UK, Sigma are doing the following package deals:
18-35mm T2 + 50-100mm T2 + CASE PMC-001 Kit £8,149
14mm T2 FF + 135mm T2 FF + PMC-003 £9,949
20mm T1.5 FF + 24mm T1.5 FF + 35mm T1.5 FF + 50mm T1.5 FF + 85mm T1.5 FF + PMC-002 £14,999
14mm T2 FF + 20mm T1.5 FF + 24mm T1.5 FF + 35mm T1.5 FF + 50mm T1.5 FF + 85mm T1.5 FF + 135mm T2 FF + PMC-002 + PMC-003 £22,999
The 18-35mm T2 and 50-100mm T2 have now also started to ship in PL mount. If you want to get the full frame high speed prime lenses in PL mount then you are going to have to wait a bit longer. Strangely the only lens that isn’t going to be available in PL mount is the 24-35mm T2.2 FF. I am not sure why this is, as I think this lens could potentially be very popular option rather than getting separate 25 and 35mm prime lenses. When I tested the stills version of the 24-35mm I found it to be a very good lens.
