A new Movcam Panasonic Varicam LT cage was being shown at NAB 2017. The Movcam cage enhances the Panasonic LT by adding a better shoulder pad and a sliding baseplate for more balanced hand held shooting.
The baseplate not only has a large range of adjustment, but it is also VCT-14 and Arri dovetail compatible. The top plate allows you to mount the the LT’s viewfinder and control panel. It also adds 15mm top rods for attaching accessories such as wireless and FIZ motors. The new top handle gives you multiple mounting points for adding other accessories.
The top plate also has four 2 pin DC outs and the power is supplied by using a small integrated d-tap cable that runs from the cameras battery plate. This is a nice solution for powering other accessories that you may need.
There is no indication currently about pricing, but it will start shipping in the next month.
