Outsight have announced a new LED fixture called the Creamsource Micro. The Creamsource Micro is an even smaller version of the the Creamsource Mini+, with dimensions (without yoke) of 220 x 205 x 100mm (W x H x D), and a weight of 2.5kg. According to the company it features a rugged and waterproof design, with an IP65 rating, so it can be used in all sorts of weather conditions.
The fixture is colour temperature adjustable from 2700 to 6500K and has a claimed CRI/TLCI of greater than 90. The light is also said to have the same type of output as a 200W HMI Luminaire, but it only draws 80W. Outsight also claim that the Micro maintains a constant power output across the whole CCT range, so there is no difference in the light’s output regardless of what colour temperature you have the light set at.
The Creamsource Micro has a 10-32V operating voltage, and can be powered off mains power or a single 90WH battery.
The light is available in three different rigging options: Quick release yoke, Kino Flo style twist-on mount, or single 3/8th thread.
If you need accessories there is a choice of V-Lock or Gold Mount quick release battery plates, a Snap-Bag light-bank from DoPchoice, a holographic lens system, and a soft travel case.
The Micro is priced at $995 US for the basic kit, which includes the Creamsource Micro Bender head, power supply and 3/8” Baby mounting socket. Other kits are available. The light is scheduled to start shipping in May 2017.
