At the Photokina show German company Stabilmove were showing off their mini camera crane that has the special ability to perform slider type moves at the same time as the regular jib movements.
It does so with the aid of a special mechanism that can be easily adjusted to allow the camera to remain parallel to a subject, pivot around it, or point outwards in an arc. Adjusting the way the camera pivots takes a matter of seconds.
The crane comes in four different versions that cater for different camera payloads. The only thing that is slightly limiting is that the Stabilmove cranes don’t have the length of arm that many more conventional travel jibs do.
