With the new GoPro Hero5 now shipping, it comes as no surprise to see a compatible camera cage being launched by rig maker Genus. Like the cages for previous GoPros, this one is a sturdy metal enclosure that protects the camera in rough conditions, adds a 52mm filter thread and also provides numerous mounting points for accessories.
What is surprising is that the new cage costs just $49 US – substantially less than the company’s previous GoPro cage. It is also very lightweight at just 99g.
