At the IBC Show in Amsterdam, Vocas were showing a new lightweight and compact follow focus for use with smaller camera setups.
The new basic follow focus isn’t height adjustable, but it does have a unique feature that allows you to easily adjust the tension on the gears. This is especially useful when using short throw still photography lenses with after market lens gears. The focus direction can also be reversed which is handy if you are using Nikon lenses. The follow focus will be available at the end of the year for €650.
Vocas also showed an adjustable hand grip extender. It has a solid locking mechanism and gives you added flexibility for getting your hand grip just the right length that you need. The adjustable hand grip extender will be shipping in a few weeks for €195.
Also new was a wider magnetic shoulder pad for their popular adjustable VCT-14 baseplate. This provides an alternative of using the regular or wider shoulder pad design depending on what works best ergonomically. This will be shipping in the next few weeks for €120.
Finally Vocas were showing a new swing away mechanism for their basic 255 matte box, that is the same one that comes on their more expensive matte boxes.
