IBC 2016: Paralinx Dart is a wireless video solution for small cameras like the GoPro

At the IBC show in Amsterdam this year, Paralinx has introduced a wireless transmitter and receiver designed specifically for smaller action cameras like the GoPro. So if you’re doing live sports or you’ve rigged up a car with a bunch of small cameras and you need to monitor all of them, the Dart will take care of those needs at a range of 1000 feet/300 meters, and weighing in at only 100 grams.

The Dart is certainly capable of working with any camera up to 1080p 60fps (though you can only send out up to 1080p 30fps), but you’ll need adapters for certain cameras, as the input is Micro HDMI only (which pairs well with the GoPro).

The Dart can be powered off of a Canon LP-E6, or with any 5V 2A battery solution. In addition, you can use up to four receivers with each transmitter. The Dart is capable of powering the GoPro, so you can worry less about the camera running out of juice.

There are two options for receivers, you can either choose SDI or HDMI. The HDMI receiver/transmitter set is going to run $3,000 while the HDMI receiver/SDI transmitter set will cost $3,300.
