Lens company SLR Magic has extended it’s Sony FE-mount lineup with the announcement of two new lenses, the SLR Magic CINE 35mm F1.2 wide angle lens and SLR Magic CINE 75mm F1.4 telephoto lens. The lenses will be officially introduced this weekend at the Atomos booth at CINE GEAR 2016 show in Los Angeles.
The 35mm f1.2 has an optical design featuring 9 elements in 8 groups with 13 aperture blades, which should produce nice bokeh. It has a close focus ability of 30cm and a 52mm front filter thread. The lens weighs in at 535g (approx. 18.87oz).
The 75mm f1.4 features 6 elements in 6 groups and like the 35mm f1.2 has 13 aperture blades. It also has a 52mm front filter thread and a close focus ability of 70cm. The lens weighs in at 455g (approx. 16.05oz)
The SLR Magic CINE 35mm F1.2 (MSRP: $499 US/ $3,299 RMB) and SLR Magic CINE 75mm F1.4 (MSRP: $499 US/ $3,299 RMB) will be available from authorised SLR Magic dealers by August, 2016.
