Chimera Lighting have a range of very interesting lighting booms: they look like a small jib arm and work using the same sort of principle. There are always times when getting a light into the right spot at the right angle can be difficult. C-stands and arms are great but they are heavy and cumbersome to carry around and then you need to find suitable counterweights to help balance the weight of your light.
The Chimera booms allow for far quicker and more precise adjustments by allowing the user to adjust all the angle movements with a handle. There is also a sliding counterweight system so you can achieve perfect balance depending on the lighting fixture you are using.
The booms are very quick and easy to set up and require no tools.
There is a Standard Light Boom (#3800) , Compact Light Boom (#3810) as well as a kit that includes a Boom, Triolet, and Chimera Pancake Lantern Kit (#1840).
