LED lights are everywhere these days. At NAB there were plenty of new models, but some of the cheaper ones looked decidedly flimsy and not really suitable for hard professional use and abuse. The Rosco LitePad Vector isn’t the newest kid on the block, but its makers think that durability is one of its strong suits. To demonstrate just how strong the light is they have made an entertaining video that features their Frank Lambrechts trying various different methods to break the light.
Apart from its durability the Vector uses the company’s Litepad technology to output a soft, diffused light. The daylight version has a CRI (Ra) of 86 and weighs 2 kg including yoke and receiver.
