We’re big fans of flexible LED panels at Newsshooter and it’s been fascinating seeing different companies offer their own take on the technology over the course of the last couple of years.
The latest offering comes from Brightcast, a Chinese manufacturer who have added some hook and loop fastening on the back of the panel, a coiled power cable and an all-in-one paddle that controls the light and connects a BP-U style battery. At the moment there’s no mains power adapter included in the kit, but if you’re a Sony shooter they use the same battery pack as the PXW series so you might have some spares that fit.
The lights themselves are solidly built and they’re also very reasonably priced at €199 or $199.
