Lanparte were at the BIRTV show in Beijing showing a new handheld stick type gimbal for the GoPro and other similar action cameras.
At first glance it is similar to other 3-axis gimbals for the GoPro, but it has a neat trick up its sleeve. The clever design allows the handle to separate from the main gimbal and attached at the end of a tether. This allows the gimbal to be operated from a distance away. This could be extremely if you want to turn it into a pole type cam – as in demonstrated in the video above. It can also be mounted onto a vehicle using a special vibration reducing mount that Lanparte also make.
For more details keep an eye on the Lanparte website.
