Newsshooter at NAB 2015: Wescott Scrims from Dan Chung on Vimeo.
Rodney Charters ASC talks to Jem Schofield about the new scrim kits he helped develop in conjunction with Wescott. Designed with practicality and transportation in mind, they enable single operators or small crews to gain maximum control over their lighting situations.
The scrim kit frames break down into 22″ (55cm) sections that not only allows for easy transportation but also gives you the ability to construct the frames into a variety of sizes. There are plenty of scrim kit solutions on the market but a lot of them come in fixed frame sizes making them impractical for crews who need to travel or transport them.
Jem and Rodney go through practical demonstrations of the kit and show you the inportance of using negative fill and soft light diffusion.
