CEO of Kinotehnik Tõnis Liivamägi was demonstrating a prototype of their new EVF at IBC 2014 – it has a redesigned chassis that makes the unit much smaller than the original LCDVFe. The trade-off is that the EVF no longer has the ability to run off AA batteries and needs to be powered externally. An improved menu button system that was originally developed for their optional remote control has now also been integrated into the body of the EVF.
