As Newsshooter comes up to its fifth birthday we have decided to launch our own awards to recognise the best new products and innovations on show at IBC 2014. There are plenty of other industry awards out there but none that commend gear that specifically addresses the needs of real world shooters – we thought it was time to change that.
The winning products will be chosen on based on their usefulness to working news and documentary shooters. Practicality, portability and durability will be among the key characteristics we are looking to reward.
The awards will be chosen by the members of the Newsshooter team at the show – professional shooters drawn together from four continents. Our technical editor Matt Allard and I will be presenting the awards at 2.20pm CEST (12.20pm GMT) on the last day of IBC during our live show coverage from the Teradek studio on the show floor.
