The Sony a7S is one of the most hotly anticipated cameras of the year so far. The combination of a full-frame sensor and 4K capable HDMI output has many shooters keen to try it out. With sales start still some time away, Sony have published a short video to highlight the camera’s capabilities both for stills and video. While the information here isn’t new, it is a useful summary for prospective buyers.
For me the most important things still to be properly field tested with the a7S are the quality of the internal HD XAVC encoding and also the rolling shutter. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long before we find out just how good it is.
