One of the most interesting products for me at NAB was the new line of Pivothead glasses with HD cams in the bridge. I’ve been using an earlier Pivothead on several news shoots lately and found it to be an invaluable way to get a subject’s POV or even some semi-covert shots.
The soon to be launched refresh of the glasses has improved image quality but more importantly the ability to stream the video wirelessly via a Smartmod. These are wi-fi and bluetooth dongles that can connect to other devices and wi-fi hotspots.
