Clinton Harn talks to Ross from Ikan, about their new field monitors, including a 9in and 5in monitor, both with full cross conversion (HDMI to SDI, SDI to HDMI). The 9in VX9i-2k can accept anything up to 444 2k footage and displays it in 1920×1200 resolution. There’s also a full range of aspect ratios, down to 2.35:1, and metering. The 5in DX5 offers a 1920×1080 resolution with the same software as the VX9i-2k, and there’s a 7in version in development. Prices start from around $1399 for the DX5.
