At PDN PhotoPlus Expo in New York, I got my hands on Panasonic’s tiny new Micro Four Thirds camera, the Lumix DMC-GM1.  With the accompanying collapsible 12-32mm lens, it is pocketable.

It shoots 1080 60i/30p video and has both focus peaking and magnification, although I’m not quite clear if those work with third party lenses – it has a touch screen with a sliding focus bar for manual focus of the Lumix lens.

The little thing has a 16MP sensor, same as the GX7.  It has a 3″ LCD and built-in WiFi. It feels solid and high quality in the hands, though it’s so small you’ll have to figure out where to put all those extra fingers.

No idea yet on image quality.
