One of the most interesting gadgets at the show was the Tehkron GoPro cage with built in battery power. It uses a Canon LPE6 type battery to extend the GoPro Hero 3’s otherwise limited battery life. One thing we did establish is that because the battery connects via the usb cord to the GoPro there is no way to keep this setup waterproof.
From the same manufacturer comes the Mogopod. A highly innovative monopod which can be erected and collapsed rapidly. Optionally you can also buy a kit with a waist belt/jib contraption that secures the monopod and allows it to be used as a form of portable jib.
