Vinten have been making broadcast camera tripods for many years but recently launched the Blue range targeting users in the middle price bracket. Their latest model the Vision Blue5 is a 2-stage aluminium tripod placed above the original Vinten Blue in the company’s lineup. It can take a camera package up to 12kg (25 lbs) which should be enough for the latest generation of shallow depth of field camcorders like the Sony F3, FS100 and Canon C300 if not overloaded with accessories.
