Rig manufacturer Tilta have taken the wraps off their new cage and shoulder support system for the ARRI Alexa Mini. First shipments of the camera have begun to arrive with users and several accessory makers are now launching their solutions. The Tilta rig comes in a variety of set ups and can be configured as a lightweight cage that works with gimbal systems, or as a larger shoulder or tripod mounted setup.
Tllta say the rig has a unique power distribution system that can provide power to accessories like monitors, wireless transmitters or remote focus from ports on the top and handle. This, they say, means that cable runs can be kept to minimal lengths.
Tilta claim that this is their finest work to date and that the rental houses and DPs have actively been involved in the design process. So confident are they of the rig’s build quality that it comes with a ten year warranty.
