Yesterday former 24 DP Rodney Charters ASC, the latest member of our Newsshooter NAB team, spoke to Jem Scofield of theC47 about the new range of Westcott FLEX lights. These are highly colour accuratE, power-efficient fixtures that have become popular because of their super-thin construction which allows them to be placed almost anywhere.
Jem has been working with Westcott to make these lights even better than the original Korean versions. The new ones are larger than the previous models but still incredibly flexible. They can be fitted into collapsible frames to create an ultraportable, high quality large light source.
Rodney, as well as being one of Hollywood’s most accomplished DPs, also shoots documentaries. The resulting interview with Jem is a mini lighting seminar and a must-watch.
